Renew on time, without the stress

DACA gives you a two-year work permit (EAD) and a Social Security number. It has to be renewed on time, every two years. USCIS recommends filing 120 to 150 days before your current DACA expires.

Who qualifies

  • You currently have DACA, or your DACA has not been expired for more than a year.
  • You have not departed the U.S. without Advance Parole since your last renewal.
  • You have been continuously in the United States since at least 06/15/2007, up to present time.
  • You have not been convicted of a felony, a significant misdemeanor, or three or more misdemeanors.
  • You can show ongoing eligibility for employment authorization.
  • You are willing to send us your court records first if you were arrested since your last renewal.

Renewing your DACA, answered

What does IHF cost?
We do an eligibility screening to understand your situation before any fees are set. We use a sliding-scale fee based on your income. We tell you the cost upfront and help you apply for a USCIS fee waiver if you qualify.
Can I still apply for DACA for the first time in 2026?
Not at this time. As of 2026, USCIS is only processing renewals; federal court rulings have blocked new DACA applications.
How early should I renew?
USCIS recommends filing 120 to 150 days before your DACA expires. We recommend starting at least 90 days out so we have time to prepare your documents carefully.
What if I was arrested since my last renewal?
Email info@immigrantfoundation.org with your court disposition before you begin. Some arrests do not affect eligibility; others do. We will review your specific situation and tell you honestly where you stand.
